School Laptop Scheme

Longdean School offers the opportunity to participate in a laptop lease scheme (1:1 Device Scheme) which enables families to provide a laptop specifically for their child without the upfront costs, which can be used in school and at home.  Use of the devices in school is as directed by teachers for use in lessons to enhance learning.

A letter will be sent out with more information and to notify you when the scheme is open for orders.  Applications are made via an online portal.

Payments are made as a monthly contribution via direct debit up to a maximum of 36 months. There is no credit check undertaken and the scheme includes Accidental Damage and theft Insurance for the period that the monthly contributions are made (with a maximum of 2 claims per year). The device also has a 1 year warranty and comes with a protective neoprene sleeve. The laptops are fully supported by the school for the time that the student remains at Longdean.

Warranty Claims

If you need to make a Warranty Claim:

Please call HP Business on 0207 6600403 – opening hours 8am to 6pm

Once connected hold for other support options:

• Wait for the recorded message to end and then for Business Support, choose option 3.
• For Desktop / Laptop / Tablet Support, choose option 1.
• When an advisor answers ( this may take a few minutes) they will ask you:
  • For the laptop serial number.
  • For an explanation of the issue, why you are making a warranty request.
  • Where they can collect the laptop from.
• HP will give you a reference number.
• The warranty process takes 10 working days.
• The laptop will be returned to the given address.
