Year 7 Visit
Year 7 will be visiting Whipsnade Zoo as part of their study of the ‘Religion and Planet Earth’ unit of social sciences. They will be attending an educational workshop called ‘Climate Change and Animals’, to investigate the wider impact of environmental issues affecting planet Earth. This will support the learning of this unit that has already happened in the classroom.
They will also get the opportunity to visit some of the animals who are at Risk due to Climate Change that are at the Zoo.
The Languages Department is taking 42 students from Y13, Y11, Y10 and Y9 to France to sample French culture and practise some French. After a short stop in Boulogne to do some shopping and bake some croissants and baguettes we will be off to Paris. We will spend the next day visiting the major touristic sights in Paris such as The Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, and the Arc the Triomphe. We will finish the day having dinner on the Champs Elysées. We will follow this up with an exciting day at Disneyland Paris.
There will be an information meeting for Parents and students at 5.30 on Tuesday 23rd of January 2018.
