This course is designed to give you the opportunity to study the main areas of the business world, including marketing and finance. It gives you the opportunity to relate the theory learned to case studies which draw from real world examples.
This qualification gives learners experience of the breadth and depth of the sector that will prepare them for further study or training. This includes the opportunity for learners to choose several topics from a selection of options reflecting the progression pathways in business.

Students will study 4 units over the 2 years
Unit 1: Exploring Business – This unit covers an introduction to business, the purposes of different businesses, their structure, the effect of the external environment, and how they need to be dynamic and innovative to survive. It is assessed through a written report.
Unit 23: The English Legal System – Students will examine how the English legal system operates to resolve criminal and civil cases, and why businesses and individuals may require legal advice and representation. It is assessed through a written report.
Unit 2: Developing a Marketing Campaign – Students will gain skills relating to, and an understanding of, how a marketing campaign is developed.
Unit 3: Personal and Business Finance – This unit covers the purpose and importance of personal and business finance. They will develop the skills and knowledge needed to understand, analyse and prepare financial information.
