The East Dacorum Co-operative Learning Trust was established by Adeyfield School, The Astley Cooper School and Longdean School. Since coming into existence in July 2014, the Trust has already begun to develop a number of projects that will support the schools and the communities they serve. The Trust board is made up of representatives from Roundwood Park School, BP, Rotary Club, The University of Hertfordshire, Lloyds Banking Group, The Co-operative Society and Herts for Learning.

Introduced in England in 2002 as part of the Government's Specialist Schools Programme which was designed to raise standards in 8-secondary education. Specialist schools focus specifically on their chosen specialism but must also meet the requirements of the National Curriculum and deliver a broad and balanced education to all their pupils. Mathematics and Computing Colleges must focus on mathematics and either computing or ICT.
Elklan Communication Friendly Setting (CFSe) accreditation is awarded to settings that have trained and support all their staff in communication and language development. They will also have shown evidence of embedding this knowledge in targeted interventions and through the implementation of a Communication Policy. Accreditation can be achieved in one year and can be renewed after three years. It is the most cost effective strategy available for whole-setting capacity building in communication.
The International School Award rewards schools that have shown a commitment to embedding international awareness and understanding within their class or school.
